In Print Software’s sales department, status meetings were replaced by real-time notes added to deal profiles. Whenever new information about a deal appears, such as identifying customer needs, the sales representative updates the profile with a note.
This solution gives the CEO insight into what’s happening with each deal, and reading these notes has become part of Mr. Bogusław’s daily routine. It also creates a detailed picture of the customer’s situation, which helps in later stages of sales.
The entire team makes better use of their time. Instead of spending 4-6 hours weekly reporting on what happened with each client, they meet once every two weeks to discuss strategic matters. This is time to discuss challenges related to open deals or ideas for new activities.
A well-filled profile becomes a knowledge base about this deal – we often go back to lost deals and bring them back to the pipeline.
