Gmail configuration in Livespace CRM

Sometimes when you are trying to add your Gmail account to Livespace CRM a pop-up window appears with an alert saying that the integration failed. If that is the case, please follow the steps in this article to set up a proper integration.


Setting up an IMAP access

  1. Log in to Gmail.
  2. Open Settings tab.settings
  3. Go to Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  4. Click on Enable IMAP.imap
  5. Save Changes.

Two-step verification enabling

  1. Open My account page, you’ll find it in Settings.gmail
  2. The next step is to choose Signing in to Google option in Sign-in & Security panel.signin
  3. In here choose 2-Step Verification option.

  4. Next, click on Get started button and go through the verification process, where you can establish a phone number for authorization codes.googiel

Setting up a password for Livespace

  1. Go to your Gmail Settings.gmail
  2. The next step is to choose Signing in to Google option in Sign-in & Security panel.signin
  3. In Signing in to Google tab choose Password & sign-in method > App passwords.password
    If you can’t see this option, please make sure the 2-Step Verification was enabled according to our previous instructions.
  4. Click on Select app.

  5. From the drop-down menu choose Other (Customised name).

  6. Type in the name ‘Livespace’ and hit Generate to create a special password for Livespace.livespace
  7. A new pop-up window will appear with your new password.

  8. Left click and mark the generated password.

  9. Then right click and choose the Copy option from the drop-down menu, or use Ctrl + C keyboard combination to copy the password.

Adding a new email account to Livespace

  1. Go to Profile settings in Livespace CRM.joohnprofileChoose E-mail accounts tab from the left side menu.email
  2. Click on Add new account button.
  3. Type in proper settings. Remember that for a server address you need to type in imap.gmail.com and in Password copy the Google password you’ve generated earlier (according to the steps provided in this article).account
  4. Click Add to complete the process.

Attention

When you turn the 2-Step Verification on you need to set up separate passwords for each email client for this Gmail account (for example in Microsoft Outlook).
